AIIMS doctor said Sushant Singh Rajput was strangulated: Family lawyer

| @indiablooms | Sep 26, 2020, at 03:39 am

Mumbai/IBNS: Making a sensational claim, Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer Vikas Singh has said that a doctor, who was a part of the team from the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) that conducted the forensic tests in the case, had told him that the actor had been strangulated.

Singh on Friday expressed his 'frustration' on Twitter stating that he fails to understand why the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is making "delay" in a decision to convert the case from "abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR."

He also informed that a doctor who was part of the AIIMS team responsible to conduct forensic tests told him that the cause of Sushant's death was strangulation and it was not suicide.

"Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR. The Doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide," Singh tweeted.

According to the lawyer, the pace of the case has slowed down and the entire attention got diverted to drugs-related issues and probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) involving Bollywood stars.

NCB is the third central agency to join the probe into the death of Rajput, after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The NCB got into action after the ED came across chats pertaining to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Rajput was found dead at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.
