4 killed in West Bengal road mishap

Kolkata, Apr 28 (IBNS): At least four persons were killed on the wee hours of Friday when a speeding private car crashes into a truck at Poradiha area near Kharagpur in West Bengal's West Medinipur district, reports said.

According to reports, the car suddenly lost its control and hit a parked truck from behind on Kolkata-Mumbai highway (NH-2).

Five passengers of the car were seriously injured in the mishap and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where four of them were declared dead.

Meanwhile, three persons, including two women, were seriously hurt when an app-based luxury cab collided head-on with a SUV on EM Bypass near Bengal Chemicals crossing under Phoolbagan Police Station limits in the eastern part of Kolkata on Friday early morning, according to reports.
