16-yr-old gangraped in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh

Mahoba/UNI: A sixteen-year-old girl was gang-raped by three youths in the Sadar Kotwali area of this Uttar Pradesh district, police said on Monday.

Additional Superintendent of Police Virendra Kumar said the victim was alone at her home located at a village in the Sadar Kotwali area when the incident happened on Sunday.

Three youths allegedly entered her house and threatened the victim with arms and fed her an intoxicating substance.

After the girl lost consciousness, the accused allegedly raped her.

When the victim's parents reached home in the evening and found the girl unconscious and in a disheveled state, they rushed her to the district hospital.

Upon regaining consciousness, the victim told her parents about the incident following which the police was intimated.

Police have registered a case against the accused identified as Dinesh, Lallu and Jai Karan based on the victim's complaint.

All three accused are absconding and a police team has been formed for their arrest.

Further investigation is underway.
