Simaaya celebrates the inimitable bond between mother and daughter

Kolkata, May 19 (IBNS): To celebrate the beautiful bond between a mother and daughter, Simaaya organised “Mothers Drape Daughters”, a programme at which actress Bidipta Chakraborty and her daughter Meghla were present.

Meghla said, “She first wore her mother’s saree on her first dance performance. My favourite colour is black and blue.” Bidipta inherited a lot of sarees from her mother. She said, “I love to wear sarees in any occasion. My style is very simple. I love mostly cotton sarees with contrast blouse, with a big red bindi on forehead and simple contemporary jewelleries to finish my look. My favourite colour is green.”

“Here at Simaaya, we have both traditional and modern saris, that would suit every taste, and would compel any shopper to pick up a few. We believe that every single day is Mother’s Day, and our programme was aimed at highlighting the sweet mother-daughter relationship,” said Mr. Rachit Agarwal, director of Simaaya.

The sari never goes out of style. It is suited to every lady out there - whether young or old.

Simaaya’s celebration of the sari as one of the defining characteristics of the mother-daughter relationship is sure to find much favour and appreciation.
