Palki celebrates four years of fashion

Kolkata, July 5 (IBNS): Palki, the designer brand from Kolkata, celebrated four years of companionship with its fashion lovers on Thursday at its boutique at Bhawanipore with a big bash .

The anniversary festivity continued for two days. The fashion show was illustrated by Palki clientele from six to sixties.

The celebration was adorned by Aesthetics Consultant Bridgette Jones and Hena Nafiz, Nutritionist. The Director and also the establisher of Palki, Lata Harlalka gave all its credits of popularity to her customers saying, “Palki is at this stage for their customers.”

Established in 1998 the fabric collection almost embraces all traditional attires. The designs are made by Lata Harlalka & her Daughter- in- Law Anvesa Harlalka who boasted saying “Palki is now a family.”

Day 1 was addressed by Bridgette Jones who came up with her instant hair styling techniques of Indian women, picking up the clients from the crowds with quick solution to their hair troubles.

“If you have it flaunt it and if you don’t fake it” she suggested. Nutritionist Hena Nafiz encouraged all to “look on things that are scientific”.

Showstopper Sanjukta Das  added an unusual charm. The fashion show was followed by cake cutting ceremony, followed by tarot reading and nail art. The show was anchored by Pamela.

The day 2 was attended by popular models of the city Sona, Ishika, Lisha, Madhabilata and Sonika who warmed up the ramp in traditionals, westerns and Indo-westerns.

Lata Harlalka boasted on her success by giving credits to her son Bikram and daughter- in- law Anvesa while Anvesa gave credits to Lata’s strategy of business by complementing on “taking the non- professional route.”
