Kolkata/IBNS- Malabar Group, parent company of Malabar Gold and Diamonds, has set aside INR 150 crore for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in 2025–26.

The funds will support initiatives in healthcare, education, hunger relief, women empowerment, environmental protection, and housing for the underprivileged.

On World Hunger Day, the group announced that it will distribute 70,000 meals daily in India and Zambia under its ‘Hunger Free World’ program, targeting 2.5 crore meals in 2025–26 alone. This equals the number of meals served under the same initiative over the last three years combined.

The program supports the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 2 – Zero Hunger. In the East Region, the initiative will launch on May 28 at the Group’s Kankurgachi showroom in Kolkata, where it will serve 2,704 meals every day.

Currently, meals are cooked in modern kitchens by trained staff under strict hygiene standards. Malabar has allocated 60% of its annual CSR budget to fight hunger and poverty.
