Kolkata, Jun 28 (IBNS): The authority of Kolkata's prestigious Scottish Church College has issued a notice where students have been asked to maintain a dress code inside the campus.

Students of the prestigious institute saw the notice on the notice board of the college on Saturday where the dress code was written.

Rector of the Scottish Church college John Abraham stated that to maintain the educational environment, glory and heritage of the institute, they had issued the dress code.

The college authority has banned mini skirts and any kind of slogan or writings on the t-shirts and tops.

According to the notice, only full length trousers are allowed inside the campus.

Scottish Church college authority has also banned round neck t-shirt, earrings and 'ear/nose/chin studs' for boys.

The authority has also prescribed the girls to wear traditional Indian outfits like 'churidwar' and 'saree' to maintain the dress code.

Students of the institute said that they will not maintain the dress code.

"We will show protest for the withdrawal of the dress code," one student of Scottish Church told IBNS.

The institute also stated that they will take action if any student brakes the dress code.
