Kailash Satyarthi urges people to opt for crackers-free Diwali

New Delhi, Oct 29 (IBNS): Nobel laureate and children rights activist Kailash Satyarthi on Saturday urged Indians to opt for a crackers-free Diwali.

Satyarthi posted his message on Twitter saying that the fire crackers manufacturing indsutry uses child labour.

"Many childhoods are sacrificed making firecrackers for your celebrations. My Bal Ashram children have a special message for you this Diwali," his message read.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma has also campaigned for a noise free Diwali, with regard to safety of animals.
