Mango Talkies

Gastropub Monkey Bar presents Mango Talkies this summer

Kolkata/IBNS: The only thing that makes the impossible summer heat bearable are the mangoes which flood the Indian markets at this time of the year.

Indian home-kitchens too are known to make many delightful dishes, especially desserts, with mangoes.

Taking a cue, the pan-India gastropub brand Monkey Bar has decided to roll out a special menu called Mango Talkies, where the fruit adds a quirky twist to popular dishes.

Highlights include Not Your Aam Gupchup (a take on Odisha’s famous street food); She’s Meen That Way (inspired by Kerala’s the Fish Mango Curry);  Shuddh Desi Tacos (braised jackfruit stuffed in whole wheat tacos, topped with a zingy, chilli mango, kala aam papad and a drizzle of fresh mint cream); Pepper Chicken Reddy;  Pride of Malda (a twist on Bengal’s Chingri Malai Paturi).

This special spread is available until June 19 2022, at all pan-India outlets of Monkey Bar.
