Bluetooth-free earbuds are back! Bose launches $99 noise-cancelling model
Bose has announced its return to the wired-earbud market with the launch of the all-new Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds.
The launch comes as wired listening makes a comeback, with consumers rediscovering the simplicity of plugging in and pressing play. Priced at $99, the earbuds combine a wired connection that requires no Bluetooth pairing or charging with Bose’s noise-cancellation technology, premium audio and clear call quality in a compact design.
The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds will begin shipping on October 15 and are available for exclusive My Bose pre-order from today through Bose.com and Best Buy.
The USB-C wired earbuds will be available in Black and White Smoke, along with a limited-edition Dewdrop Mint colour.

The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds connect directly to compatible USB-C smartphones, tablets and computers, providing instant audio without pairing or a companion app. The earbuds draw power directly from the connected device, eliminating the need for an internal battery or charging, including when active noise cancellation is in use.
The earbuds use Bose’s proprietary SoundDesign digital signal processing technology to deliver clear audio and support lossless listening. Using the USB Audio Class 2 (UAC2) protocol, they can accept source input at different sample and bit rates, with playback output fixed at 24-bit/48kHz.
The wired connection also enables low-latency audio, helping keep sound synchronised while watching videos, gaming or creating content.
An in-line remote with physical buttons provides controls for volume, playback, calls and switching between noise-cancellation modes. A dedicated microphone on the back of the remote is designed to provide clear voice pickup while reducing unwanted noise caused by contact with clothing.
Bose noise cancellation, now wired
At the centre of the earbuds is Bose’s QuietControl technology, which uses four microphones — two on each earbud — to monitor surrounding sounds and reduce unwanted noise.
Users can choose from three listening modes: Quiet Mode, which reduces external distractions; Aware Mode, which allows surrounding sounds to pass through; and ANC Off Mode, which provides conventional wired listening without active noise cancellation.
Designed for everyday use
The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds feature a compact design and a 4.2-foot cable. They come with soft silicone eartips in small, medium and large sizes, as well as medium and large stability wings, allowing users to customise the fit.
The earbuds are available in several colour combinations. The Black version features blue accents, while White Smoke comes with lime-green accents. The limited-edition Dewdrop Mint variant features a design inspired by 1990s aesthetics.
The earbuds have an IPX4 water-resistance rating and come with a zippered carrying case for storage and protection.
