Kolkata, Dec 15 (IBNS): Bloggers Debjani Chatterjee Alam and Madhushree Basu are all set to showcase their cooking skills through a pop up in the city on Sunday.

They are opening their kitchens beyond friends and family members with a hope to tantalize more taste buds and make new friends through their food.

Some quintessential Kolkata bhanrer cha, with taka luchi and notun alur dom and chhana koraishutir chop to set the afternoon on roll.

In the mains, there is basmati chaler bhat, Bou Khuda (a polao of a small variety of rice), bhangachora shukto (an almost lost recipe of this bitter palate cleanser made with a medley of vegetables, prawns and fish head) , winter special Sobji diye daal, khosha bhaja (peels never tasted so good) and phulkopir roast.

The non veg section with fixed servings include Kakrar Jhaal (Bengali crab curry), Shorshe posto diye parshe machher jhaal (a variety of mullet in poppy seed and mustard paste gravy) , Chicken cooked dum style in earthen cookware and niramish mangsho (Mutton cooked without onion and garlic) .

All these come with accompaniments of chandana ilisher bhorta (dried ilish mash ) and chingri makha (a mix of shrimps and other spices), the all time favourite plastic chutney and papad bhaja. In the dessert, there is Komola Kheer and Ranga Alur Roshopuli.

The event will take place UDITA , 1050/1 Survey Park Santoshpur.
