Amway Opportunity Foundation celebrates Children's Day with Mukti Rehabilitation Centre in Kolkata

Kolkata, Nov 18 (IBNS): Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Amway India, on Friday celebrated Children's Day, in association with Mukti Rehabilitation Centre in Kolkata.

To mark the occasion, Amway Opportunity Foundation organized a drawing competition for the children.

A magic show was also organized for the children staying in the premises of Mukti Rehabilitation Centre at Chengail, Howrah. The children were overjoyed with the magic show and participated in the sit & draw competition with a lot of enthusiasm.

The event concluded with selection of winners and prize distribution to the winners. All children were presented with special gift hampers.

Commenting on the occasion, G. S. Cheema, Sr. Vice President - North & East, Amway India said, “The Children’s day celebration is a part of our CSR Project called Sunrise under which we support 15 NGOs working in the area of education of health, hygiene of under privileged children. It is a gratifying and humbling experience to see smiles on the faces of these beautiful children.”
                                                                       
K Viswanath, Secretary, Mukti Rehabilitation Centre said, “Children are our future. Every Child should be healthy and educated and we work towards this end. Children's day is celebrated keeping in mind the full development of every Child."

Amway India has been working with Mukti Rehabilitation Centre with an aim to make meaningful difference to the less privileged children. It has set up a Vocational Centre in Tailoring for them. AOF also takes care of the educational sponsorship of the children at the non-formal school of Mukti Rehabilitation Centre in Chengail
