West Bengal reports 'zero' COVID deaths in past 24 hours

Kolkata/IBNS: For the first time in nearly a year, West Bengal on Monday recorded no Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, reports said.

According to a bulletin issued by the state health and family welfare department, 198 fresh infections were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of Covid-19 cases to 5,75,118, including 3293 active cases, 10268 fatalities, and 5,61,755 recoveries.

The bulletin stated that 212 Covid-19 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the recovery rate in the state 97.64 per cent.

West Bengal has tested 85,79,292 samples till date with 16014 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours in 105 testing facilities across the state, officials said.
