Meghalaya Health Minister inaugurates Rangshken Health Sub-Centre

Shillong/IBNS: Meghalaya Health & Family Welfare Minister A L Hek on Friday inaugurated the Rangshken Health Sub-Centre under Mawphlang CHC in the presence of local MLA Samlin Malngiang and Dr. A Warr DHS (MI).

Dedicating the sub-centre to the public, Hek stated that the government is committed to provide accessible, affordable and quality healthcare services to its citizens especially the economically weaker section of society by opening more health centers in the State.

The minister also encouraged pregnant women to visit the centre for their regular check-ups and vaccinations for newborns.

“The medical staff are there to sensitize you on how to improve health habits so as to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality rate,” he said.

Therefore he urged the people to join hands with the health department in the implementation of health schemes and programme to achieve the health for all target in the state.

S Malngiang, MLA, Shri L Blah, MDC, Dr. A Warr, DHS (MI) and Dr. M Basaiawmoit, DMHO, East Khasi Hills were also spoke in the programme.
