Maharashtra logs 1,877 new Covid-19 cases

Mumbai/UNI: Maharashtra reported 1,877 fresh Covid-19 cases, according to a health bulletin released Wednesday.

The state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,66,243, while the overall toll stood at 1,48,162 with five new deaths reported.

The bulletin said 1,971 patients were cured of the virus and discharged, taking the recovery count to 79,06,291.

The state's recovery rate significantly stands at 98.02 per cent and fatality rate at 1.83 per cent .

Presently, there are 11,790 active Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the state, the bulletin added.

In Marathwada region there are 71 positive cases, including 29 in Latur district, Aurangabad (13), Osmanabad (12), Jalna (7), Beed (5), Nanded (4) and 1 case each in Parbhani and Hingoli districts, the bulletin said.
