India records 1007 COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India has recorded over 1000 deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll due to the disease to 48040, officials said.

As per Ministry of Health website, the country has registered 64,553 fresh Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours.  

So far, there are 661595 active cases.

The total number of recovered patients in the country is now 17,51,555.
