Chinese mainland reports 19 new imported COVID-19 cases

Beijing/Xinhua: The Chinese mainland reported 19 new imported COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 2,854, the National Health Commission said Wednesday.

Of the new imported cases, eight were reported in Guangdong, five in Fujian, two each in Shanghai and Shaanxi, and one each in Henan and Sichuan, the commission said in its daily report.

Among all the imported cases, 2,663 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 191 remained hospitalized, with two in severe condition, the commission said.

No deaths had been reported from the imported cases.
