Bangladesh registers two fresh COVID-19 deaths in 24 hours

Dhaka: Bangladesh registered two fresh deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, media reports said  Sunday.

It is less than the seven deaths recorded due to the virus in the previous cycle of 24 hours.

Besides, in the 24-hour period, the country also recorded 264 new cases while seeing 339 patients recover, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), reports Dhaka Tribune.

The death toll due to the virus in the country now stands at  27,955.

Bangladesh recorded a deadly wave of the pandemic in recent months.
