Automobile giant Porsche India has launched the new Cayenne Electric, marking a new chapter in the history of the company.
The introduction of the Cayenne Electric brings all-electric mobility to the Cayenne model range while retaining the versatility and everyday usability that have long defined the model.
Porsche will also continue to sell the petrol variants of the Cayenne into the next decade.
The new generation combines the driving performance expected of a Porsche with the benefits of an electric powertrain, offering customers a new interpretation of the Cayenne experience.
“The Cayenne enters an important new era with electrification, combining uncompromising Porsche performance with electric mobility while remaining unmistakably Porsche,” said Ashutosh Dixit, Head of Porsche India.
“It continues to offer the everyday usability our customers expect from the Cayenne, together with the performance, engineering and driving experience that define our sports cars. Its introduction marks an important next chapter for Porsche in India as we continue to broaden the choices available to our customers.”
The Cayenne Electric also strengthens Porsche India’s product offering by providing customers with an additional fully electric option alongside the brand’s existing model portfolio. With both the Cayenne Electric and the higher-performance Cayenne Turbo Electric available from launch, customers can select the model that best reflects their individual performance and ownership requirements.
The launch in Mumbai will introduce the new model to Indian media and customers ahead of deliveries commencing on the same day, bringing the latest chapter of the Cayenne to Porsche customers across the country.
Introduced in two variants, the Cayenne Electric is priced from ₹1,77,27,000, while the Cayenne Turbo Electric is priced from ₹2,27,51,000. Customer deliveries will begin from 30 September, coinciding with the model’s official launch in Mumbai.
