West Bengal's COVID-19 tally crosses 3000 with 181 deaths

Kolkata/IBNS: Even as West Bengal faces havoc due to super Cyclone Amphan on Wednesday, there is no respite from the infection level owing to the deadly Coronavirus. With 142 new cases, the eastern statel's total tally touched 3,103.

The state reported three new deaths in the last 24 hours taking the fatalities' toll to 181. There have been 72 comorbidity deaths, as per the West Bengal Health Department bulletin.

According to the health bulletin, a total of 1,136 patients have been discharged so far leaving the number of active cases at 1,714.

"Current coronavirus recovery rate in the state is 36.60 per cent," the bulletin read.

Till date, the state has tested 1,11,002 samples with 8720 tests being conducted on Wednesday.
