Sending shockwaves, man kills girlfriend in full public view with a spanner in Mumbai

The ghastly CCTV footage showed the 29-year-old assailant repeatedly striking the victim on her head and chest. In between attacking the girl mercilessly, the accused also yells at her and is said to have said, "kyun kiya aisa mere saath".

The motive behind the fatal assault was reportedly a recent breakup after a two-year relationship.

The CCTV footage shows the man came running from behind before striking the wrench on the girl's head which knocked her down. He continued his assault and struck the girl on the head multiple times.

Shockingly, only one man is seen trying to come to the rescue of the girl who is seen lying on the road due to the impact of the blow on her head. The assailant first ignores the man who tries to intervene, before threatening him with the wrench.

By this time, a considerable crowd had gathered near the spot, however, no one dared confront or stop the attacker who kept mercilessly beating the girl by striking the wrench repeatedly.

The girl, dressed in ethnic attire, was left lying motionless on the road.

A video of the horrifying incident has surfaced on the internet that shows the accused, holding the spanner, was heard shouting, "Kyun kiya, kyun kiya aisa mere sath," before attacking her again and discarding the weapon.

Many were seen shooting the video while others were seen moving away from the scene as the assailant is seen attacking the motionless woman repeatedly. Unfortunately, motorists were also seen passing by making no efforts to help the victim lying in a pool of blood.
