Police seize huge cash ahead of LS polls

Chhapra, Apr 23 (UNI) Police seized Rs 3 lakh from different police station areas during checking of vehicles in view of Lok Sabha election in Saran district late last night.

Police Superintendent Har Kishore Rai said here today that Rs 2 lakh were seized under Town police station area and Rs one lakh under Ekma police station area during checking of vehicles in view of Lok Sabha poll.

He said that an intensive patrolling had been launched under different police station areas in view of imposition of model code of conduct due to ongoing Lok Sabha election.


Under model code of conduct, nobody can carry cash more than Rs 50,000 from one place to another without authentication in view of Lok Sabha election.
