Guwahati, May 26 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Dhola-Sadia bridge, said to be India's longest connector, adjoining Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

"PM Modi inaugurates Dhola - Sadia Bridge across River Brahamputra in Purana Sadiya, Assam. LIVE at https://www.facebook.com/BJP4India/videos/1663854373655079/ … #3yearsofModiGovt," a tweet from the official handle of BJP India read.

The bridge is situated around 100 kms from the McMahon line, separating India and China.

Built on the Brahmaputra river, it will help reduce the travel time between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh by over four hours.

According to the reports, the 9.15 km-long bridge has a capacity of 60-tonne.

It will help in the development of both the states.
