Maharashtra: Major fire in Ulhasnagar in Thane

Thane/UNI: In a major fire incident, a three-storied commercial structure was destroyed at the Ulhasnagar in the Thane district of Maharashtra, the fire brigade sources said on Monday.

Around 8:30 pm on Sunday, the fire broke out in the Roshan Printers in the Press Market locality and spread to the upper floors.

Five firefighters of the Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation fought the fire throughout the night and finally, it was brought under control this morning.

However, there have been no casualties so far.

The Chief of the Disaster Cell of the Ulhasnagar Municipal Council said that the cause of the fire was under probe and the fire spread rapidly as the printing material was stored in the premises, he added.
