Kerala: One held, gold worth Rs 47 lakh seized at Kannur International Airport
Kannur/UNI: Air Customs sleuths on Wednesday seized 967 grams of gold valued around Rs 47 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Sharjah in an Indigo flight.
Customs Assistant Commissioner, E Vikas led the team to detain Ummerkutty of Thaliparamba in this connection.
The seized gold was in compound form and was concealed in his inner-wear, Customs sources said.
