Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa arrested in a murder case

Bengaluru/IBNS: Popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and 10 others were on Tuesday arrested in connection with a murder case, media reports said.

Darshan was reportedly picked up by police from Mysuru at around 8:30 am.

He has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old man, named Renukaswamy, who was from Chitradunga, Bengaluru.

The case was registered at the Kamakshipalya Police Station.

Interrogation process is ongoing by the police.

Darshan, 47, is an A-lister in Kannada films. He is also a producer and distributor besides being an actor.

Some of his popular films where he featured as an actor are Kariya, Kalasipalya, Gaja, Navagraha, Bulbul, Kaatera.

He established his production house- titled Thoogudeepa Productions- in 2006.

The first film under his production was Jothe Jotheyali.
