Jammu: Missing woman’s body recovered from canal

Jamm/UNI: The body of a 33-year-old woman, who had been missing for the past three days, was recovered from a canal in Gadigarh in the city's outskirts, police said on Saturday.

''The body was recovered from a canal this morning in Gadigarh area and has been shifted to the mortuary for post-mortem,'' police said.

Pooja, a resident of Channi Himamt, Jammu was missing for the last three days and a complaint was lodged at the concerned police station, Deputy SP Ram Singh Charak, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Gandhi Nagar here told UNI.

He said that the body has been shifted to the mortuary for post-mortem, adding, “A board of doctors will be constituted to carry out the post-mortem and only after their report, the cause of death will be known.”
