New Delhi/IBNS: Former Congress leader Radhika Khera and actor Shekhar Suman joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday.

Khera joined the BJP a day after she quit Congress.

Explaining her decision to quit Congress, Khera made a startling claim that she was hated by the grand old party for visiting Ayodhya's Ram Temple.

Khera claimed she was reprimanded by the Congress for sharing pictures from Ram Temple on social media.

She further alleged Congress Sushil Anand Shukha offered her alcohol and knocked on the door multiple times being intoxicated during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Despite reaching to Congress leaders including Sachin Pilot on the issue, no action was taken, claims Khera.

On the other hand, Suman joined the BJP years after he quit Congress in 2012.

He had contested as a Congress candidate against then BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha from Patna Sahib in 2009.
