Ex-Telangana Guv Tamilisai Soundararajan feature in BJP's 3rd list of candidates for LS polls

New Delhi/IBNS: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday released its third list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The list contained the names of nine seats from Tamil Nadu.

According to the list, former Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will be contesting from Chennai South.

She had resigned from the saffron party before assuming the office of Governor of Telangana in 2019. She was appointed Lt. Governor of Puducherry in 2021.

Soundararjan rejoined the BJP in the presence of Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai on March 20.

The other names include K. Annamalai contest from Coimbatore, L. Murugan from Nilgiris, Vinoj Selvam from Chennai Central, AC Shanmugam from Vellore, C. Narasimhan (Krishnagiri), TR Paarivendhar (Perambalur), Nainar Nagendran (Thoothukkudi), and Pon. Radhakrishnan (Kanniyakumari).

On March 13, the saffron party released its second list of 72 candidates.
