A Delhi court on Saturday sent Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, which is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Kejriwal will now remain in custody till July 12.

According to reports, he will be now presented before the Rouse Avenue Court on that day ar around 2 pm via video conference.

The court order came hours after the federal probe agency sought a 14-day judicial remand for Kejriwal, saying his incarceration was required in the "interest of the investigation and justice", reported India Today.

The CBI had arrested Kejriwal on June 26 in connection with the case.

He was sent to custody for three days.

Kejriwal was already in prison at that time in connection with a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
