Assam govt declares local holiday in three districts for PM Modi’s visit

Guwahati, May 24 (IBNS): The Assam government has declared local holiday on May 26 on the occasion of inaugural function of Dhola-Sadiya bridge at Tinsukia district and laying of foundation stone of Indian Agricultural Research Institute at Gogamukh, Dhemaji by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The state government has further declared half holiday at 2 PM on the same day in the district of Kamrup (M) on the occasion of laying of foundation stone of AIIMS, Changsari by the Prime Minister.

This declaration is made in respect of all state, central government offices, public sector under taking corporations, boards, educational institutions etc. in the Tinusukia, Dhemaji and Kamrup(M) districts.
