Andhra Pradesh: Ammonia gas leak kills one, three others hospitalised

Amaravati/IBNS: A 50-year old employee died due to ammonia gas leak inside the SPY Agros Company in the town of Nandyal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Srinivas Rao, who was the general manager of the company.

Three other employees of the company have been hospitalized in a stable condition, a police official said.

Kurnool District Collector G Veerapandian said, "There is no risk to propel outside. No need to worry at all. As soon as the matter was known, our teams rushed to the scene on an emergency basis and ensured safety measures."

The situation is now under control.
