Setback for EPS as Madras High Court orders status quo in AIADMK leadership tussle
Chennai/IBNS: The Madras High Court Wednesday ruled former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami's appointment as the AIADMK general secretary is invalid, media reports said.
The court has ordered to maintain the status quo as on Jun 23.
Prior to Palaniswamy's appointment, the party was run jointly by the EPS and O Paneerselvam, who is also an ex-Chief Minister.
While Paneerselvam was the coordinator, Palaniswamy was his deputy.
