Militant hideout busted in Kashmir's Pulwama, explosives recovered

Srinagar/UNI: Security forces on Thursday busted a militant hideout and a huge quantity of explosives in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, a police spokesman said here.

He said on a tip-off security forces an Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir conducted a joint search operation at village Adhikhal in Awantipora in Pulwama district today.

During the operation security forces busted a militant outfit and recovered huge quantity of explosive material. No one has been arrested, he said, adding further investigation has been initiated.

The explosive material was enough to prepare Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and other explosives which could have caused much damage to life and property.
