Kolkata, May 7 (IBNS): Countering Prime Minister Narendra Modi's allegations against the Trinamool Congress government for not allowing Durga Puja in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader reminding him of his faux pas last year.

Taking a dig at Modi's mistake of posting Ma Kali's picture while wishing people on Durga Puja, Banerjee on Tuesday said: "He doesn't know goddess Durga. He doesn't know how many hands Ma Durga has. He shared Ma Kali's picture in place of Ma Durga while wishing. I will die but won't give their slogan."

In his campaign trails in West Bengal, Modi accused Banerjee and her government of not allowing Durga Puja in the state, referring to the state administration's decision to postpone the immersion of Durga idols for Muslim festival Muhurram.

Recently, the Prime Minister also attacked Banerjee who disapproved "Jai Shree Ram" slogan during her campaign trails.

Modi even dared Banerjee to arrest him for saying "Jai Shree Ram", words which are used by the BJP invoking Lord Ram.

Couple of days ago, when Banerjee was travelling by car, "Jai Shree Ram" was chanted by few people evoking wrath of the Chief Minister who had stepped out of her vehicle and charged them.

While Modi-led BJP is eyeing to win minimum 23 seats in Banerjee's citadel, the Trinamool has given a call to win all 42 Lok Sabha seats.
