Three terrorists killed in north Kashmir, Attack on Army camps foiled

Sringar, Oct 6 (IBNS) : Three terrorists were killed after they attacked an army camp in Langate in north Kashmir's Handwara on Thursday morning, reports said.

A band of terrorists opened fire on two posts of the Rashtriya Rifles camp around 5 am prompting the soldiers to retaliate immediately.

During a heavy exchange of fire three of the terrorists were reportedly killed and the rest fled away, the reports said.

According to Army officials, the attack was aided by Pakistan, which has made 25 ceasefire violations in the past five days.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was informed  by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval that nearly 100 terrorists are ready across the LoC to infiltrate into India and lunch attacks.

Doval's briefing was based on intelligence inputs.

Last week, the Indian Army had conducted surgical strikes across the LoC to destroy several terrorist launch pads inflicting "significant casualties" in what is being seen as a retaliation to repeated terror attacks, including the one at Uri in which 19 Indian soldiers were killed.
