Britannica India team mourns demise of COO Whig

Gurgaon, May 16 (IBNS) The Encyclopaedia Britannica India (EBI) team mourned the untimely demise of its Chief Operating Officer, Vineet Whig, and offered its condolences to Whig's family.
In an official release on Monday, EBI said, "Vineet was a humble, creative, and modest person and he will be missed by all at EBI where he left his mark in the way he implemented industry best practices and processes in learning solutions design and development.  Well respected in the industry for his contributions towards furthering the cause of education, his death is an irreplaceable loss." 
 
Whig, 47, allegedly committed suicide on Sunday, by jumping within a deep shaft of the apartment building where he lived in Gurgaon, reports said. 
 
Whig joined Britannica in year 2014 and had earlier worked with Wipro. 
 
He was found inside the shaft with a suicide note in his pocket. He reportedly jumped into it from the 19th floor.
 
Whig is survived by his wife and three children.
