Mumbai, Feb 11 (IBNS) On Feb 19, Rahul Bose and his NGO The Foundation are all set to host their annual auction called "The Idea of India" that will feature 12 iconic pieces of memorabilia from noteworthy donors globally who personify and epitomize the soul of art and culture across the world.
One of the 12 pieces donated includes exciting original works of the legendary cartoonist RK Laxman i.e Three hand drawn originals from his series ‘Four Decades of the Common Man’ donated to The Foundation by Usha Laxman, his daughter-in-law. These are the last ever original works of R K Laxman that will ever be available for posterity.

When asked, why she decided to share this treasure with The Foundation, Usha said, "It's a very small contribution in comparison to what Rahul Bose and his team are doing under his foundation to bring about a change to the community.

"When Rahul approached Dad a couple of years ago and spoke to him about The Foundation and the kind of innovative fundraising that he does, halfway through the presentation Dad said - Go ahead, take it, it’s all yours. I’m honored to do this on behalf of Dad. "
