Rs. 45,000 for a tiny room in Dubai! Indian-origin woman’s post sparks debate
An Indian-origin woman has shared her experience of paying around ₹45,000 a month for a small room in Dubai, prompting a range of reactions from social media users.
The woman said she has been living in the room for the past year.
According to her, she is now planning to move to another room in the coming days, but the new accommodation will not be significantly bigger than her current one.
In an Instagram post, she described her current accommodation as a “tiny little box” and said she pays around ₹45,000 every month for it.
However, she said the main difference with the new room would be the surroundings, which she expects to be better than those at her current accommodation.
The post drew several reactions from social media users, with some questioning the amount she pays for the small room.
One user commented: “I don't think it's worth ₹45,000, which comes around 1,800 AED. The partition shown in the picture is a maximum of 1,000 AED, which comes around ₹25,000.”
Another social media user offered words of encouragement, writing: “Twice of what you're paying, but trust me, it all starts like this. But don't give up on your dreams, madam. God bless you and God bless all here.”
