Kolkata, Nov 28 (IBNS): Inkdia Books, in association with the Indian National Forum of Art and Culture (INFAM), rolled out its latest publication, Medico-Legal Dictionary and Jurisprudence, which is penned by Tapash Gan Choudhury, during a ceremony held in Kolkata on Saturday.

Former Chief Justice of India,  Altamas Kabir was also present as a special guest.

Talking about the book , Justice Manjula Chellur, Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court said, "It's commendable how the author has dealt with two diverse subjects- natural justice and medical jurisprudence, in his book. the book is definitely going to be of help in the dispensation of justice mechanism."

The dictionary penned down by senior advocate of Calcutta High Court Tapash Gan Choudhury goes into the legal analysis of every medical term, besides giving their etymological meaning. The book also examines the application of these terms from a medical perspective.

Echoing similar thoughts, former Chief Justice of India, Altamas Kabir said, "This book is one of a kind. It's basically a dictionary which defines medico-legal terms. Whoever has the chance to go through the book, will find that along with the definition of some of the most important terms, he has added an analysis of those terms".

The book promises to be an invaluable and indispensible companion for medical and legal practitioners, academic researchers and common readers.

Medico-Legal Dictionary and Jurisprudence is published by Inkdia Books. It is priced at Rs.1195.
