New York, Mar 31 (IBNS): Popular search engine Google on Tuesday celebrated the 126th anniversary of the opening of Paris' engineering wonder the Eiffel Tower by decorating their homepage with a colourful doodle.

The iconic tower, which is situated in France capital Paris, was opened on  Mar 31, 1889.

The doodle shows few people hanging from the tower as they are engaged in beautifying the structure.

The tower is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built it.
