Kolkata, Sept 19 (IBNS) West Bengal Heart Foundation and Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission took an initiative by organizing a life saving workshop for students to help people encountering heart attacks.

The workshop was on Basic Life Support and symptom recognition of heart disease and heart attack.

Bikash Majumder, Chairman, West Bengal Heart Foundation and the Speaker of the Workshop said, “We constantly think of progressive ways of how we can cure heart attacks during the crucial stages. Keeping that in mind, we have organized this workshop where we are training young children some handy tips and chest massages which will be helpful in saving a family member’s life at risk. This workshop will help them to deal with such complex situations. Motivated with the response we are planning more such educative and interactive workshops in near future.”

Swami Nityarupananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission, said, “I am extremely glad to form this association with West Bengal Heart Foundation. Apart from academics, through this workshop my students are learning a very important lesson – Saving a Life. I am looking forward to many such educative workshops in future.”

West Bengal Heart Foundation is formed with the idea to propagate awareness regarding heart diseases among the common people and patients. West Bengal Heart Foundation is a nongovernment organization.
