Moscow, Apr 29 (IBNS) The controlled deorbiting of a Russian cargo spacecraft is not possible, media reports said on Wednesday.

According to reports, the spacecraft, which is reportedly out of control, plunging back to Earth.

"Specialists have agreed that Progress is hopeless. Its controlled deorbiting is impossible," a source in the space rocket industry told TASS.

"Commands were sent many a time. None of them worked," the source told the media.

All of the tree attempts were futile. No radical changes have occurred. Progress remains out of control," he said.

The Progress M-27M had blasted off from Baikonur on Tuesday.

The communication with the vessel was later lost.
