New Delhi, Apr 1 (IBNS): In a major move, Indian space agency ISRO on Monday launched the electronic intelligence satellite EMISAT, along with 28 nano satellites of global customers, from Sriharikota.

The latest move was made by ISRO just days after the country test-fired anti-satellite (ASAT) missile in the Mission Shakti operation.

This was the 71st launch vehicle mission  from Sriharikota.

ISRO tweeted: "#PSLVC45 lifts off from SDSC carrying #EMISAT & 28 customer satellites."

More details are awaited.

This low-Earth orbit satellite that weighs 436 kg, sources say, will monitor and give locations for enemy radar sites deep in their territory, reported NDTV.
