Supreme Court gives big relief for RComm
New Delhi/UNI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the Union of India to refund around Rs 104 crores to Reliance Communications.
Headed by Justice R F Nariman, the two-judge bench rejected the Centre's petition against an earlier tribunal ruling ordering the refund.
The verdict is seen as a big boost for the troubled business conglomerate.
Rs 104 crores is the amount which the UOI has to give to Anil Ambani-led RComm as balance of bank guarantee for spectrum.
The bench ruled,"After hearing the arguments and a detailed submissions, we order the Central government to pay a refund of around Rs 104 crores to Reliance Communications."
