Soumitra Chatterjee conferred with honorary membership of Rotary Club of Calcutta Sun City of Rotary District 3291
Kolkata, Aug 7 (IBNS): Actor Soumitra Chatterjee has been conferred with honorary membership of Rotary Club of Calcutta Sun City of Rotary District 3291.
The club said the actor also he agreed to become a brand ambassador of the club's Eradicate Thalassaemia Project aimed at complete eradication of the blood related genetic disorder as part of Zero Thalassaemia project initiated under the stewardship of the club.
Past district governor Shyamashree Sen inducted the icon of the silver screen along with noted orthopedic Dr Ramendu Homchowdhury, present on the occasion was Deepa Chatterjee, wife of Soumitra Chatterjee who was also felicitated for being 2 time State Badminton champion in the early 60's.
