Prices of commercial LPG cylinders reduced

New Delhi: The oil marketing companies on Wednesday reduced the price of commercial Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders by Rs 135, bringing much relief to the people.

According to a price notification of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), a 19 kg cylinder of LPG will cost Rs 2219 in Delhi, Rs 2322 in Kolkata, Rs 2171 in Mumbai and Rs 2373 in Chennai.

Prior to reduction in prices, the 19 kg cylinder was available at Rs 2354 in Delhi, Rs 2454 in Kolkata, Rs 2306 in Mumbai and Rs 2507 in Chennai.

Last month, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were hiked on two occasions. On May 1, the price was increased by Rs 102 while on May 19 by Rs 8.

However, prices of domestic LPG cylinders, petrol and diesel have remained the same.
