Palaniswami inaugurates Ford Motors' R and D Centre

Chennai/UNI: Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today inaugurated the Rresearch and Development (R and D) centre of Ford Motors at Sholinganallur near here.

An official release said Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam had, in July 2016 announced in the Assembly that the automobile major plans

to set up a R and D centre.

The MoU for this project was signed during the first Global Investors Meet held in 2015 during the tenure of late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

The state government had, in 2016, sanctioned 28 acre at Sholinganallur for setting up the centre.
