India's factory output grows 8.1% in October

New Delhi, Dec 12 (IBNS): India's industrial production moved up to touch 8.1 percent in October, government data released on Wednesday.

The figure stood at 8.1 percent as against 4.5 percent in September.

"The Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) with base 2011-12 for the month of October 2018 stands at 132.4, which is 8.1 percent higher as compared to the level in the month of October 2017," read a government statement issued on Wednesday.

"The cumulative growth for the period April-October 2018 over the corresponding period of the previous year stands at 5.6 percent," it said.
