Indian Rupee slips 16 paise against USD

Mumbai/uni: The Rupee on Wednesday slipped by 16 paise to end negative at 73.02

against the US Dollar on rising demand for the greenback by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit that fell by 23 paise to 73.09 in opening trade, slightly improved from opening level but ended negative only at 73.02, declining by 16 as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee was seen weak owing to firm Dollar against other world currencies, dealers further said.

The Rupee registered intra days high and low at 73.15 and 72.98 respectively, he added.
